Description
Called a hala in Arabic or cocotte in French, this pot is basically a covered casserole deep enough for braising or stewing. It’s perfect for soups and stews, or any slow-cooked dish that needs time to develop flavor and succulence. It’s also a really ideal pot for traditional American style Boston baked beans!
It’s fabulous for presenting dishes you’d like to reheat and serve from stovetop or oven to table. The terra cotta earthenware keeps foods warm for a long time so you don’t have to worry about cold seconds. This size serves 4-6 people.
Terra Cotta finished with assalie glaze on the inside (the word assalie is Arabic for “molasses” and perfectly describes the shade of brown achieved by the high firing).
This clay pot is sure to add a unique, handmade beauty to your kitchen or table.
