Description
This pot doubles as a bean pot and soup/stew pot.
For beans, just dump in some very good quality, freshly dried ones (We love Rancho Gordo’s!), maybe a clove or two of garlic, or some onion, cover with at least two inches of water and cook away. Then, use those cooked beans in any number of dishes from salads to soups, or even solo with a pinch of salt. Simple and delicious!
Traditionally, families would almost always have a soup/stew pot going on the back of the fire. They would add to it whatever they had available in the way of meat and vegetables, cover them with water, and let it go at a slow simmer. If done with a quality piece of meat, it serves as the perfect one pot meal – the first course being the cooking broth as a soup, and the main course being the meat and vegetables.
Serves 6-8 people.
Terra Cotta finish on the outside. Glazed inside. High dome lid.
